Historical Significance
  • Also known as Last Supper Room and Cenacle
Biblical Significance
  • The Upper Room is the traditional site of Jesus’ last supper with his disciples (Luke 22). It is also the traditional site for the Holy Spirit falling on the disciples following Jesus’ ascension (Acts 2). One floor below this room is what some consider to be The Tomb of David, but this has never been archaeologically proven.
