Dating & Marriage

RESOURCES

What is marriage? How are we meant to define it? The world around us offers many answers to these questions, making the truth about it less and less clear. The institution of marriage itself seems broken within our culture, leading some to reject it outright. Now, more than ever, we must recover a Biblical perspective of marriage as oneness, and more importantly, a practice of this oneness to match. This page features two teaching series, links to Men’s Roundtable and Ezer studies, and recommended reading surrounding the topic of marriage and sex.

Dating Better

Are you in a dating relationship or one day hope to be? Dating Better helps us think about how to date in a healthy, God-honoring way. This series covers topics such as the purpose of singleness, the need for community in dating, red flags to look for, how gender plays a role, and pursuing purity while growing in intimacy.

Marriage Matters

Even in the best of times, building a marriage that honors God requires work, and becoming “one flesh” in a fallen and broken world isn’t easy. So how can we move forward when we encounter challenges that threaten to tear us apart?

Marriage Matters: From Conflict to Connection is a six-week experience in which we will look at how our differences can either divide us or create an opportunity for us to connect and grow. We will explore practical ways to fight for oneness and to help your marriage become everything God wants it to be.

re|engage

Would you rate your marriage as a 2 or a 10? No matter where you fall on the spectrum, you are not alone. re|engage is a marriage ministry for all married couples. Whether your marriage is in crisis or you are looking to take your marriage from good to great, re|engage is a safe place for couples to reconnect. re|engage will offer hope and encouragement to marriages by helping couples move toward oneness through stories of grace, teaching and small groups.

Redeeming Sexuality

Sex and sexuality can be a confusing and divisive topic, both in our culture and in the church. And because we live in a fallen world, all of us struggle with some aspect of sexual brokenness. Many of us have carried wounds of sexual sin for years—shame over sins done to us, sins we’ve committed, and wounds that are simply the result of the fallen nature of our world.

Redeeming Sexuality takes a deep, biblical look at the roots of sexual brokenness, how it is manifested in our lives, and how we can find freedom and hope in the gospel. In this newly revised study we will examine sex and sexuality from a biblical perspective and take our fractured hearts to a loving Father who is skilled in mending us with love, forgiveness, and acceptance.

One

What does the Bible teach about marriage? What does it mean that “the two are now united into one?” How do these truths affect your approach to singleness, dating, and the different seasons of marriage? In this 6 week series, we will address the topics of Oneness, Uniqueness, Redemption, Singleness, Intimacy, and Adventure. It is our hope that this series will be a helpful resource to you whether you are single, approaching marriage, married 30 days or 30 years.

Theology of Sex

Through the Theology of Sex series, we are seeking to provide a clear and powerful voice that is rooted in the truth of Scripture. As a church, we are called to take a step outside of our own understanding and discover the truth Scripture provides regarding these issues. But it also must be the right voice, one that through thoughtfulness in communication offers clarity to our culture’s sexual cacophony rather than confusion, one that carries a power and weight that causes those around us to stop and listen. Ultimately we must ask ourselves and others the question: Does God have true authority in my life when it comes to my sex and sexuality?

A Man and His Wife

A Man And His Wife addresses the challenge of masculinity and implementing principles of Biblical masculinity in the context of marriage. These six sessions are designed to give men a language to think about core strengths and core struggles of men, as well as a tool to converse with their wives and other men. This study is designed for all men, whether you have been married for 30 years or you hope to be married one day.
