Outreach & Missions

Engaging our neighbors, caring for those in need, and sharing the gospel

At Grace Church, outreach is centered on our core value of being culturally engaged. Through engaging our neighbors locally and internationally, we can strategically create relationships that provide opportunities to disciple our members, share the gospel, and care for those in need.

Outreach Tools

As followers of Jesus, we are each commissioned to get involved in someone else’s life, meet their needs, and help them grow in their relationship with Christ. Jesus doesn’t ask us to just be nice to our neighbors but to sacrifice, to love others who are nothing like us, to enter into others’ brokenness, and to inconvenience ourselves for the sake of the gospel. This is our common calling.

We know it can be challenging to determine where to get involved, so we have created several resources to help you.

Foster & Adopt

Grace Church is committed to following the biblical mandate to care for vulnerable children by engaging the needs of foster care and adoptive families. We support the foster and adopt community across the Upstate through foster family recruitment, training, support, and various other resources. We are committed to walking with foster families as they enter the system and bring a child home and as he or she grows and matures.

Senior Honor

A Grace Church ministry providing worship services and activity assistance with elderly care communities across the Upstate. Volunteer visits have significant impact on residents and their caregivers.

Ministry Partners

As part of Grace’s two-year We Choose ministry plan, we are partnering with organizations in our community that serve vulnerable populations and have a proven track record of success. Our partnership with each organization includes a two year commitment of substantial financial support to help the organization build capacity, as well as opportunities for our church members to volunteer and serve in ways that grow them as disciples of Jesus.

JumpStart’s ministry focuses on long-term discipleship of men and women currently in prison and those recently released. The discipleship program is led by program graduates inside prisons and is supplemented by volunteers. Program graduates are eligible for JumpStart’s re-entry program and transitional housing during their first year of release. The work JumpStart is doing is helping reduce the rate of recidivism in South Carolina.

Project HOPE provides a lifespan of services for individuals on the autism spectrum. They offer a wide variety of therapy and programs to help families, open minds, promote inclusion, and expand potential for children and adults with autism.

Homes of Hope is working to provide foundational, safe environments for low to moderate income families in the Upstate. By providing affordable, energy-efficient rental and home ownership options, their clients can now afford housing and power bills. Supplemented by Homes of Hope’s financial wellness program, affordable housing gives families the freedom of a disposable income so that they can begin saving and investing.

A two-year residential program for women recovering from human trafficking, prostitution, and addiction. Jasmine Road has three social enterprise programs that give their residents meaningful work experience and bring in money to support the program.

Missions Grants

Local, regional, and international ministry is accomplished in many ways beyond formal programs of the church. We value the individual passions and strengths of our members and believe that God intends to use them to build His kingdom both here and around the world. Missions Grants are helping support these members and specific projects or programs of their personal ministry. Visit the Missions Grants page to learn more and apply.
