Home to an ancient Jewish synagogue from the 4th Century CE
The cliffs of Arbel descend sharply down to the shore of the Sea of Galilee. The cliffs and its many caves were used as rebel hideouts in battles against Herod (1st century BC) as well as the Romans (1st century AD).
